So I bet quite a bit of you guys have daily habits. It doesn’t need to be forced but any habit that you do daily. It could be waking up then getting dressed then going downstairs. Anything you do daily. But I’m here to talk about forced habits to make you better at something. In school, I did this daily habit of planking. And every day the plank time (time I have to plank) goes up by ten seconds. Now I was very good at planking before, but after planking daily for 1-2 months I got very good. We started at 30s for planking and at the end of the habit I could plank for 4:15m I never thought I could do that.
So now I’m starting a new habit. This time I get to pick it! I picked push-ups because I never was good at push ups. My tennis coaches always made me do push-ups. But since I couldn’t do it well, let’s just say it was good😶. So the way I’m going to practice my push-ups is by doing more and going down more each day. On the first day I did probably the worst push-up ever. But since then I can now go pretty deep and not lose my stamina so easily.
