I just had a remote week! Now some of you guys might be full on remote but I am at a hybrid school. So I go to school two days a week. And I want to share my accomplishments!
You might be wondering why there is a photo with snow above. I’ll tell you. I was in Ohio the first to days of the remote week. I was in Ohio because I was visiting family for Thanksgiving and it snowed the last two days! And that’s there backyard covered in snow. (Back to my approach on learning) So I had a different approach to the remote week than the average kid at my school. I basically did all the work I could that day, and any work that was due at the end of the week I would save until I got home. I did that because doing work there with cousins was tricky. They were always coming in to my room trying to tell me something useless. So that’s why a piled up my work for the end of the week. You’re probably wondering how I could do so much work in such little time. I worked almost all day to like 3:00pm. On a regular online day I would work to 12:00pm. 3 hours extra each day (Thursday and Friday). That adds up (kinda). Otherwise I was mentally fine. One clever thing my school did is give us more meetings to attend but less work to do. On a regular day it’s visa versa. I did have to miss a couple meetings the day I was traveling because I was traveling by plane.
I kept reading the same grownup book and I did some fun activities like design a lunar lander. The goal was to make sure an egg wouldn’t crack while in your lander. Then you would drop the lander and see if it cracked. I could only do 2 days of tennis practice 🙁 . But that’s all. Those are my accomplishments. Nothing much but a bit awkward.
